- Notes: (1) These data were purchased from the US Census Bureau and converted into Stata format; funding from Yale Social Sciences Library is acknowledged gratefully. (2) The files for month 12 of each year can be found in the annual link, not the monthly link. (3) There is a known missing file for exports for 2011.4. (4) There are both "annual" files and "legacy annual" files: I rewrote the code I used to process the annual files when I added the monthly files on 2025.2.23. I am keeping the original legacy files up in case anyone depends on them, and as a reference in case any issues arise with the new annual files. (5) The NAICS codes in the trade data are vintage-dependent. That is, the NAICS code mapped to a partricular year is with respect to the NAICS vintage associated with that year, e.g., 2012 vs 2017. Concordances for linking NAICS codes over time are available on my CBP data page ( here).
